Chandler LeGrange is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Valen Surveillance & Security, a Louisiana-based critical infrastructure security company headquartered in South Louisiana—in Plaquemine and New Orleans—with operations throughout the Gulf South. Since founding the company, Chandler has grown Valen from a startup into a multimillion-dollar enterprise recognized for delivering advanced security technology, surveillance systems, artificial intelligence analytics, counter-UAS solutions, x-ray screening, and integrated public safety systems for government agencies and critical infrastructure.
Under Chandler's leadership, Valen has become a trusted security partner to state agencies, correctional institutions, law enforcement organizations, industrial facilities, and public-sector clients across Louisiana and beyond. Today, approximately 90 percent of the company's business is generated through government contracts, reflecting Valen's proven ability to deliver complex security solutions while successfully navigating public procurement, regulatory compliance, grant funding, and government relations.

Throughout his entrepreneurial career, he has led organizations employing dozens of professionals while emphasizing leadership development, accountability, and creating meaningful career opportunities. Military Service
Prior to launching Valen, Chandler proudly served six years in the United States Army National Guard as an Infantry Soldier. His training included infantry operations, counterterrorism, combat medical training, critical incident response, and small-unit leadership. He received multiple Army Commendation Medals and Army Achievement Medals in recognition of outstanding leadership and performance under demanding conditions. The discipline, resilience, and mission-focused mindset developed through military service continue to influence his leadership philosophy today.
Industry Foundation
Following his military service, Chandler worked in Louisiana's oil and gas industry as an electrician with MMR Group, ultimately earning the rank of Journeyman Electrician. Working inside refineries, industrial plants, and critical infrastructure facilities gave him firsthand insight into the security vulnerabilities facing essential industries. Those experiences became the foundation for the vision that ultimately led to the creation of Valen Surveillance & Security.
Louisiana Roots
A lifelong Louisiana resident, Chandler was raised in Watson, Louisiana, and graduated from Live Oak High School. He now lives on the Amite River in St. Amant and in the French Quarter in New Orleans. He comes from a family deeply rooted in Louisiana's seafood industry, where he began working at just thirteen years old. Those early years instilled the work ethic, discipline, and appreciation for Louisiana's people and industries that continue to guide both his personal and professional life.
Faith & Community
Outside of business, Chandler is a practicing Catholic committed to servant leadership, integrity, and stewardship. He serves on the Finance Committee at St. Isidore Catholic Church and is an active member of the Knights of Columbus. His faith remains central to his leadership philosophy, emphasizing service, accountability, and doing what is right for clients, employees, and the communities Valen serves.
